Vascular International Shunt Arm Simulator
Vascular International Foundation and School is an organization based in Switzerland that has been in business for over 25 years with the sole mission of running hands-on open vascular skills simulation courses in Europe. Their organization was chosen by the European Vascular Association to evaluate the surgical skills of vascular fellows. VI designed this line of high quality simulators to simulate realistic workstations with state of the art pulsatile pump systems.
The Vascular International Shunt Arm Simulator is a male size arm mounted on a grey rectangular box, which doubles as a water reservoir. It comes with a set of silicone arteries and veins. The trainee can be trained on basic vein to artery or artery to artery with a vein anastomosis skills practiced in the placement of shunt and AV fistulas. Complete with a pulsatile pump to add flow through the simulator, the Vascular International Shunt Arm provides a very realistic training scenario.
