Vascular International Shunt Arm Simulator
Vascular International Foundation and School is an organization based in Switzerland that has been in business for over 25 years with the sole mission of running hands-on open vascular skills simulation courses in Europe. Their organization was chosen by the European Vascular Association to evaluate the surgical skills of vascular fellows. VI designed this line of high quality simulators to simulate realistic workstations with state of the art pulsatile pump systems.
The Vascular International Shunt Arm Simulator is a male size arm mounted on a grey rectangular box, which doubles as a water reservoir. It comes with a set of silicone arteries and veins. The trainee can be trained on basic vein to artery or artery to artery with a vein anastomosis skills practiced in the placement of shunt and AV fistulas. Complete with a pulsatile pump to add flow through the simulator, the Vascular International Shunt Arm provides a very realistic training scenario.
The Vascular International Shunt Arm Simulator includes a male size arm, reusable skin, and a set of arteries and. The Arm comes with a pulsatile pump to check the quality of the repair.
Use the Vascular International Shunt Arm Simulator for skills development training:

- Allows trainees to train on and practice Vein to Artery or Artery to Vein anastomosis skills and placement of shunt and AV Fistulas.
- Pulsatile pump is available and useful to evaluate the quality of the anastomosis and repairs.
- The silicone based Vascular International Shunt Arm Simulator is approximately 29 cm X 20 cm x 9 cm and weighs about 350 g.
